For some reason, pretty much all of the highway and street photos we came across on the Los Angeles Metro Library and Archive’s Flickrstream include or focus on bus transportation, which kinda challenges our long-held notions that the city of angels is one built entirely around the automobile. That said, we grabbed a couple photos showing buses sharing the roads with cars: above, from 1962 showing the Hollywood Freeway at the Silver Lake Boulevard exit; and below, from 1966 showing Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach, looking west past the Hotel Stillman.
